Claisen Terms and Conditions

By clicking “I Agree,” using our website, completing our quiz, or otherwise accessing any portion of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Claisen platform.

1. Overview

Claisen, Inc. (“Claisen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website www.claisen.com and related services including our gut health quizzes, treatment recommendations, and over-the-counter (OTC) product sales (collectively, the “Services”). These Terms govern your access and use of the Services.

2. Not Medical Advice

Claisen does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content on our platform, including quiz results and product suggestions, is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. You should consult a licensed healthcare provider for any medical concerns.

3. OTC-Only and No Provider Relationship

Claisen exclusively offers non-prescription, OTC products. We do not facilitate consultations with licensed medical professionals, nor do we engage in the practice of medicine. No provider-patient relationship is established through your use of Claisen’s Services.

4. Who May Use the Service

You may only use the Service if you are at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these criteria.

5. Payment & Pricing

All products are sold on a cash-pay basis. We do not accept or process insurance claims, nor are we enrolled in any federal or state healthcare programs. You are solely responsible for the full cost of any products or services you purchase.

Pricing is transparent and all-in: what you see is what you pay. Prices may change at our discretion, but we will notify you of any changes before your next renewal.

6. Subscriptions

Some Claisen products are sold as subscriptions. By subscribing, you agree to recurring charges until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through your account dashboard or by emailing support@claisen.com. Cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Pausing may be offered at our discretion.

7. Account Registration

To purchase products or access parts of the Service, you may need to register an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We are not liable for any unauthorized use of your account.

8. Privacy

We value your privacy. Our use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy. While we handle some sensitive data (e.g. quiz responses), we are not a HIPAA-covered entity and do not collect or store “Protected Health Information” as defined by HIPAA.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Claisen platform—including our brand, website, graphics, and copy—is the property of Claisen, Inc. or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or use our content without permission.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operations, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Unless you opt out within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing legal@claisen.com, any dispute between you and Claisen will be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis in Boston, Massachusetts. You waive any right to a class action or jury trial.

12. No Warranties

THE SERVICE AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAISEN DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAISEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR PERSONAL INJURY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post updates on our website and revise the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes your acceptance.
